Cherry Grove Pennant
Established as a summer community in the early 1900s, Cherry Grove became an important refuge for LGBTQ+ New Yorkers decades before such spaces were common or openly celebrated. Today, its cottages, boardwalks, galleries, and nightlife carry that tradition forward with a spirit that's both welcoming and unapologetically its own. Equal parts history, community, and revelry, Cherry Grove remains one of Fire Island's most singular places.
Handcrafted from 10oz duck canvas with a muslin backing. Each flag is lightly waxed for a vintage, timeworn look and finished with brass grommets aged in the waters of the Atlantic.
Each flag is printed, sewn, and finished by hand, so no two are exactly alike. Variations in print density, seam alignment, and wax coverage are natural and should be considered part of the character of the piece.
