Smith Point Pennant

Stretching across the eastern barrier island, Smith Point is Suffolk County's largest oceanfront park and a longtime gathering place for surfers, campers, fishermen, and beachgoers. Named for William “Tangier” Smith, the colonial landowner whose sprawling estate once encompassed much of the surrounding area, the park carries a bit of old Long Island history along with its miles of beach. Less polished than the resort beaches to the west, Smith Point has always felt a little more like the real deal.

Handcrafted from 10oz duck canvas with a muslin backing. Each flag is lightly waxed for a vintage, timeworn look and finished with brass grommets aged in the waters of the Atlantic.

Each flag is printed, sewn, and finished by hand, so no two are exactly alike. Variations in print density, seam alignment, and wax coverage are natural and should be considered part of the character of the piece.
