A master of the sandy bottom, the summer flounder—or fluke—is a voracious ambush predator prized by anglers throughout the Northeast. Camouflaged against the seafloor and armed with both eyes on one side of its head, it spends the warmer months in Long Island's bays, inlets, and coastal waters. A summertime favorite at the end of a fishing line and on the dinner table, fluke is about as local as it gets.
Handcrafted from 10oz duck canvas with a muslin backing. Appliqué is crafted from authentic reclaimed Dacron® sailcloth with natural stains, creases, repairs, and weathering preserved as part of its character. Each flag is lightly waxed for a vintage, timeworn look and finished with brass grommets aged in the waters of the Atlantic.

CARE & MAINTENANCE
Your apparel is a hand made piece of art and should be worn proudly. When it comes time to wash it, it is recommended you turn it inside out so that any decoration is on the inside. Cold water is also recommended to cut down on any shrinkage. The water based inks may fade over time, but it becomes part of the piece, giving a beautiful vintage patina. Enjoy!
