LONGBOARD CLASSIC NEW YORK, DAY 2

September in New York…. some people hate it, but a majority find something to be happy about. For us of the water breed, it usually means empty beaches and decent waves. The WSL returned to New York for the first time since 2011, and King Poseidon decided to put on a show for some of the biggest names in longboard surfing.

I wasn’t there ALL day [because I was catching waves myself], but here’s a selection of some finer shots I managed to catch when I went down to see the action. Truly humbling.

Congratulations to the Hawaiians Kaniela Stewart & Honolua Blomfield for taking the win. Until next time, New York.
